Instructor Elizabeth Bontos - Human Resources is a different animal in today’s world, where much of this evolution has gone unrealized. Depending upon the Business model, risk, and size, arguably, it may not be advantageous to have the standard HR model in place.  We will discuss and look at an unconventional design, where HR does not need to follow a traditional HR Department.  This class explores the unexpected purpose behind HR, and how the HR Dept. can be redesigned and tailored to better address individual Company preferences and risk levels, rather than assuming all organizations must adopt the “one-size fits all” customary HR pattern.  Currently, it simply may provide better manageability, cost-effectiveness, and greater compassion in its tone for certain Companies to install an alternative, progressive “Hiring, Firing, Promoting, Benefits” Department at its helm.
