Lakewood United Football Club

The Lakewood City Schools Community Recreation & Education Department's Lakewood United Football Club is interested in all soccer players of all ages to come join us! 

L.U.F.C.

The Lakewood United Football Club is a joint merger between former Rangers F.C. and Lakewood Soccer Association Travel soccer clubs. We teach, train, and coach talented girls and boys soccer athletes from ages 5 to 18.  Small sided games are essential in our training sessions. Our coaches are licensed, highly respected individuals active in the Cleveland soccer community, dedicated to the personal growth of the soccer player. We are a growing presence in the highly competitive culture of the Northeast Ohio soccer community. We are also a non- profit organization that is working to bring this great sport to the newly arrived immigrants and low income families of the city of Lakewood.  All are welcome to join! Our support programs are as follows:

 Academy (Ages 5-8): This program gives the young soccer player an advantage by giving them a proper foundation with the basics of soccer. Our players will be trained by licensed coaches and will receive guidance toward achieving their soccer goals in a friendly environment. Genders will be separated during Academy to give players the opportunity to thrive in a relaxed environment with their peers. Small sided games provide the players with numerous touches on the ball  under the guidance of experienced coaches. Our volunteer collaborations for Academy include the Lakewood organization H2O, the Lakewood Girls high school soccer team, and numerous Rangers F.C. coaches who assist with this program.

United Soccer Program (Ages 5-18): This program assimilates our newly arrived immigrants and refugees through the beautiful game of soccer and gives them an opportunity to be welcomed into their new Lakewood community. All players from the club are welcomed for these sessions that are very spirited and filled with some very talented soccer players. Through volunteer collaborations with H2O, Catholic Charities, and the Lakewood Rangers Girls High School soccer team, this program is a favorite of the club. We have integrated numerous United Soccer players into our club and travel teams and many more have gone on to play for the Lakewood Rangers boys/girls high school teams. More importantly, we thrive on making all individuals who participate in this program feel welcome in our community. Donations are welcomed for this program as many of these players are presenting with limited financial resources.

Travel Soccer: We have are apart of the Ohio Travel Soccer League (OHTSL) which is currently the premier travel organization in Northeast Ohio. This program will give our players the opportunity to improve their soccer skills in the best travel league in Northeast Ohio. We have both boys/girls teams in the travel league. 

Premier Club State League: This league gives our players an opportunity to compete with the best club players in OYSAN State League. We have boys/girls teams in the state league. Many of these teams will compete in the Ohio state cup each year which takes place each Spring. The players in this league are some of the best soccer players in Northeast Ohio.
