Learn to
skateboard and meet new friends!
Skateboard Camps teach new skaters how to
skateboard, how to take care of their
skateboard and basic skatepark etiquette. You will learn the proper ways to push, turn and start and stop safely as well as how to fall with minimal impact. Each skater progresses at their own rate in a group setting with mostly ages 7-12 years old.
Camp is operated by Public Square Group Skate Counselors with a 1 to 4 ratio of counselors to skaters. All ages over 7 years are welcome! Your
skateboard should roll and turn easily. Good bearings and quality trucks will make learning much easier. Use your own or sign up for Lesson +
Skateboard and receive a brand new
skateboard to keep.
Skateboard/bmx style helmet that covers the back of the skater’s head (not a cycling helmet). Wrist guards are strongly encouraged as are knee and elbow pads but not required.More info at
